The Egg Harbor Township Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Middle Township Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Egg Harbor Township took care of business in their home opener on Thursday (and then some). They blew past St. Joseph 68-48.
Meanwhile, even though Lenape scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, Middle Township still came out on top. Middle Township walked away with a 64-56 victory over Lenape.
Among those leading the charge was Re'Ale Basquine, who shot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bubba McNeil, who scored 11 points.
Egg Harbor Township pushed their record up to 1-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Middle Township, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Egg Harbor Township skirted past Middle Township 50-47 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Egg Harbor Township have another victory up their sleeve, or will Middle Township turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
