After two weeks on the road, Bellport is heading back home. On Saturday they will take on Lindenhurst at 2:00 PM. Bellport know how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Lindenhurst like a good challenge.
Last Friday, Bellport put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They put a hurting on Copiague to the tune of 53-7. That looming 46-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Bellport yet.
Meanwhile, Lindenhurst had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 23-13 win over Half Hollow Hills East.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 5-2. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Lindenhurst and Bellport clash.
