Palm Beach Gardens unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 49-19 loss at the hands of the Atlantic Eagles on Friday. Atlantic found their leader in sophomore Pedro Martinez, who threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in two rushing scores. Omari St.Fort helped Martinez out on the ground, rushing for 90 yards and one score on only 12 carries.
Coming up, Palm Beach Gardens will be playing in front of their home fans against Santaluces at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Atlantic, they are taking a road trip to challenge Jonesboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
