Sadly, the Bradford Academy Archers are still looking for their first win of the season after 15 matchups. They fell 59-51 to Asheboro Hybrid Academy on Monday. Bradford Academy found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 17 to 8 on offense.
Several Archers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elisha McDorman, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Patrick Crotts, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Levi Gaskins was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 21 rebounds for Asheboro Hybrid Academy. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Kearns, who scored 13 points.
Bradford Academy dropped their record down to 0-15 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Asheboro Hybrid Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-8.
Bradford Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Asheboro Hybrid Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Community Baptist at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Asheboro Hybrid Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday.
