1A District 2 recap September 10, 2013
Ouachita Christian was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Block. The Eagles came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 34 last week.
Tensas lost to Northwood 40-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Ouachita Christian's dynamic duo of Quin Graves and Ryan Reynolds proved tough for the Bears to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Graves threw for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns and Reynolds had 32 yards receiving. Garryn Chowns helped Ouachita Christian's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 36 yards.
Steven Fitzhugh's team's dynamic duo of Graves and Reynolds proved to be unstoppable against Block, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Graves put up the best numbers through the air as the Eagles bested Benny Vault's team.
Reynolds was the best wideout in 1A District 2 this week as Ouachita Christian topped the Bears.
Kemme Weeks was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 139 yards on 12 carries as Mangham bested Block. Abdullah Rhone also contributed to the rushing game with 77 yards on the ground.
Ouachita Christian's Graves and Chowns have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Graves has thrown for 154 yards this season, while Chowns has 2 catches for 36 yards. The Dragons' Weeks leads the league in rushing yards with 139.
