After losing to Acadiana the last time they met, Southside decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Sharks put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 13-7 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Sharks, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Southside pushed their record up to 16-10-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Acadiana, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.

Southside will venture away from home to face off against Carencro at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Sharks are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Acadiana, they will welcome New Iberia at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
