Sheridan hasn't had much luck against Delphi Community recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Blackhawks will square off against the Oracles at 5:30 p.m. Sheridan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Sheridan came up short against Clinton Central on Friday, falling 9-2.
Norah Adams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and seven unearned) runs on 12 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Ellie Eaton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Delphi Community got the win against Taylor on Wednesday by a conclusive 15-1. The victory continues a trend for the Oracles in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won nine in a row.
Mairi Cunningham was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Cunningham was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abie Pearson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Sami Leopard, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Sheridan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Delphi Community, their record now sits at 12-8.
Sheridan might still be hurting after the 19-9 loss they got from Delphi Community in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Blackhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
