The Plano Reapers will take on the Johnsburg Skyhawks at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Plano will be strutting in after a win while Johnsburg will be coming in after a loss.
Plano not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 10-0). They put the hurt on Somonauk with a sharp 9-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Reapers in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won three in a row.

Plano let Amari Bryant and Josh Stellwagen run wild. Bryant got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double, while Stellwagen went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Plano is 3-1 when Bryant posts two or more runs, but 3-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jason Phillips, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Plano always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Johnsburg lost 14-3 to Marengo on Wednesday.
Johnsburg saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Plano's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Johnsburg, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 14-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Plano has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Johnsburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Plano skirted past Johnsburg 5-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Reapers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Skyhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
