The Tumwater Thunderbirds waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They were the clear victor by a 64-41 margin over Centralia. Given Tumwater's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Centralia is ranked 329th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tumwater to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryce Morgan, who scored eight points. Beckett Wall was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Tumwater pushed their record up to 11-6 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Centralia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
Tumwater on the road again on Friday and play against WF West at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. WF West and Tumwater are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Centralia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Black Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
