Moravia won the last time they faced Groton and things went their way on Friday too. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Red Hawks. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by eight runs or more this season.

Carson Andrews made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dillon Palmer, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Noah Corbett was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Moravia and bumps their season record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Groton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
