It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Marriotts Ridge ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past the Long Reach Lightning with an 84-79 win. For Marriotts Ridge, this counts as revenge for the 77-64 victory Long Reach walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Marriotts Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Restia Whitaker, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Whitaker's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Rahul Jampan was another key player, going 9 for 18 on his way to 21 points and three steals.

Marriotts Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.
