Gilman had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Owen-Withee Blackhawks a 22-0 shutout. That 22 run margin sets a new team best for the Pirates this season.

Gilman's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Owen-Withee, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coming up, Gilman will take on Spencer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Owen-Withee, they will face off against Thorp at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Blackhawks surely won't give up without a fight.
