The Uintah Utes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a rough 55-31 defeat at the hands of Mountain Crest. Uintah lost against Mountain Crest in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 64-53 score last time.
Uintah's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Charlee Gilroy, who scored seven points, and Briley Ottley who scored seven points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ottley has scored all season.
Uintah's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.3 points per game. As for Mountain Crest, their victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.
Uintah will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Sky View at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Mountain Crest will be home for the holidays to greet Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Snow Canyon is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
