Mercedes waltzed into their contest  on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with  a   7-3  victory over the Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  6-5  back in March.

 Ashley De Leon was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, five  RBI,  and two  doubles while going 4-for-4. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Kristine Garcia was another key player,  scoring a  run.
 De Leon wasn't the only one working in the  home run department: Mercedes  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. That's the most  home runs they've managed all season.
Mercedes pushed their record up to 14-6 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  on the road. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Edcouch-Elsa,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 14-7.
