The Manchester Red Hawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Tolland 71-17 at home. That 71-17 margin sets a new team best for Manchester this season.
Tiara Tyson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 35 points along with five assists and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Manchester's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elise Ryan, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
The victory was the third in a row for Manchester, bringing their record for this year to 3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Tolland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester will stay at home for another game and welcome East Hartford at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. Tolland will finish 2023 at home by hosting Rocky Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
