The Chavez Titans will square off against the Edison Vikings on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Chavez headed into their last matchup having not scored more than two runs for seven straight, but Franklin let them put that streak behind them. The Titans were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Yellowjackets on Tuesday. The Titans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Alahnee Small made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one triple.

Chavez always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Edison waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Delta Kings as they made off with a 16-7 victory. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.
Like Chavez, Edison also got a great game from a two-way player: Haylie Berdot. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Berdot was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Edison got a massive performance out of Angeleya Miranda, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Lelia Tatupu was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and one double.
Chavez's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Edison, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Chavez couldn't quite finish off Edison when the teams last played back in May of 2025 and fell 9-7. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
