The Dohn Community Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of DePaul Cristo Rey.
It was another big night for Britain Starks, who scored 24 points for DePaul Cristo Rey. The matchup was Starks' tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mohamed Barry, who scored 14 points.
Dohn Community's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for DePaul Cristo Rey, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.
Dohn Community will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cincinnati Trailblazers HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. As for DePaul Cristo Rey, they will head out on the road to face off against Gamble Montessori at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gamble Montessori will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
