Archbishop Carroll never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Saint John Paul the Great Catholic last Saturday. They claimed a resounding 37-6 win over the Wolves on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-6.
TK Davis had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 210 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Davis really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Amadi, who rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Bishop Ireton unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a serious blow against St. Mary's Ryken, falling 54-24. Bishop Ireton has struggled against St. Mary's Ryken recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Defeat or not, Bishop Ireton got some senior leadership from Omar Diallo who rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.0 yards per carry and Aaron Rocke who gained 143 total yards and two touchdowns.
Archbishop Carroll has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Bishop Ireton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Archbishop Carroll came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop Ireton in their previous meeting back in October, sneaking past 18-16. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Bishop Ireton's Rocke, who picked up 196 receiving yards and a touchdown.
