The Noble Street College Prep Golden Tigers lost against The Noble Academy Griffins back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Noble Street College Prep took a 31-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Noble Academy. Noble Street College Prep has struggled against The Noble Academy recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Noble Street College Prep saw an underclassman step up: Ariana Bahena scored ten points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Akari McPhee, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks.
Noble Street College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for The Noble Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Noble Street College Prep will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Rauner at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th. Rauner comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. The Noble Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Shore Country Day at 6:30 p.m. on January 11th. North Shore Country Day is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
