It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Mt. St. Michael Academy Mountaineers had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 34-3 victory over Xaverian. The win was familiar territory for Mt. St. Michael Academy who now have three in a row.
Carl Shaw was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 47 yards and three touchdowns.
Mt. St. Michael Academy pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Xaverian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Mt. St. Michael Academy will be playing at home against Cardinal Hayes at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Cardinal Hayes presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mt. St. Michael Academy in New York (Cardinal Hayes is ranked first, while Mt.
