Tenley Smarr made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Central got a massive performance out of Shelby Zigler, who scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
