The South Park Eagles will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Sto-Rox Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. South Park has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
South Park pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-60 to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. South Park has not had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Sto-Rox scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They blew past Westinghouse 77-44 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Sto-Rox who now have four in a row.
Sto-Rox can attribute much of their success to Aumir Nelson, who scored 14 points along with three steals, and Marcus Griffin, who scored 22 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Griffin has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Jones, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
South Park's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Sto-Rox, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season.
Everything came up roses for South Park against the Vikings in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 47-18 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Park since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
