Despite the defeat, Marais des Cygnes Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Landon Traver picked up 220 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns. Those 220 receiving yards set a new season-high mark for Traver. Dalton Lingenfelter also helped out with an impressive 148 receiving yards.
Marais des Cygnes Valley wouldn't let Chetopa keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Lingenfelter, Jayden McClintic, and Tyler Calderwood picked up one apiece.
The win made it two in a row for Otis-Bison and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Marais des Cygnes Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
