Fans got a thrill when Jimmy Mitchell and Mitch Munroe connected against North. The connection was good for 89 yards, the longest such play in Upstate Eight - River this season.
Tj Miller of Geneva ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against Batavia last week. Miller's team lost to the Bulldogs as he sprinted for 59 yards on the play and finished with 163 in all.
East's dynamic duo of Mitchell and Munroe proved tough for the North Stars to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Mitchell threw for 207 yards and 2 touchdowns and Munroe had 139 yards receiving.

Anthony Scaccia was the most successful running back in Upstate Eight - River this week. He ran for 177 yards on 21 carries as Batavia topped North. Teammate Blake Crowder added to the ground attack by rushing for 44 yards.
Micah Coffey was a passing and rushing force as Dennis Piron's team bested Geneva. He completed 10 passes for 165 yards and also ran for 38 yards. Coffey's favorite target this week was Michael Moffatt, who caught 5 passes for 87 yards.
Mitchell put up the best numbers in passing as East beat the North Stars.
He was 13-29 with 1 interceptions.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Rob Wicinski's team's Daniel Santacaterina and Pace Temple have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-0 quarterback Santacaterina has thrown for 767 yards this season, while Temple has 15 catches for 326 yards. The Bulldogs' Scaccia leads the league in rushing yards with 349.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Larkin takes on the Vikings. As it stands, the Royals are in second, while Geneva is in fifth.
Larkin scaled the state rankings by moving to 276 from 312 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Mike Scianna's team was able to make move up by topping Elgin 46-28.
