 Los Altos' victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 9-10. As for Milpitas, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record  this season.
 Los Altos came up short against Milpitas when the teams last played  last Monday, falling  6-2. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of  Milpitas'  Priyah Quinonez, who   didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched.
