River Ridge had a rough outing against WF West last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Everything went River Ridge's way against Mount Tahoma on Thursday as they made off with a 41-13 victory. River Ridge were heavily favored coming into this matchup, and the results showcase why.
River Ridge's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 20 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Mount Tahoma couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 20-0 heading into the break. The River Ridge defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the game.
No one for River Ridge had a better game by the numbers than senior Kieran Hunkin, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 181 yards and 3 touchdowns. The win got them back to even at 1-1. The defeat dropped Mount Tahoma's record to 0-2.
Next week River Ridge take on Steilacoom at 7:00 PM. Mount Tahoma looks to establish their home field advantage as they take on Lakes at 7:00 PM.
