Futures put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Victory Christian Vikings with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-19.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Futures to victory, but perhaps none more so than Viktoria Esyutin, who had 31 assists and six aces. Those 31 assists gave Esyutin a new career-high. Svetlana Blyshchyk was another key player, getting 14 kills, eight digs, and three aces.
They weren't the only good server: Futures was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive matchups.
Victory Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Mishelle Tsurkan, who had seven digs and two aces, and Aleksandra Grinic, who had five digs. Tsurkan has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.
Futures' win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Victory Christian, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
