After a string of four wins, Brookville's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 9-1 to the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers. The Bees were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cavaliers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Brookville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camden Brown, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Brookville's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Jefferson Forest, the win keeps they at an undefeated 15-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Brookville will challenge rival Amherst County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Jefferson Forest is set to take on their familiar foe Glass at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cavaliers 1.1, the Hilltoppers 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
