Tyler Allen and Chase Zimmerman provided fans with a highlight when they connected against St. Martin. The longest such play in 4A Region 8 this season, the connection resulted in 69 yards.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, St. Stanislaus beat the Yellowjackets 49-45,. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
St. Stanislaus' dynamic duo of Allen and Brennen Bradley proved to be unstoppable against St. Martin, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Allen threw for 523 yards and 7 touchdowns and Bradley had 186 yards receiving. Zimmerman helped St. Stanislaus' passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 126 yards.
The Rock-a-Chaws' dynamic duo of Allen and Bradley proved tough for Eddie Whitehead's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Allen put up the best numbers in passing as St. Stanislaus defeated the Yellowjackets.
He went 36-63 with 1 interceptions.
Jiquan James was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 138 yards on 23 carries as Poplarville bested St. Martin. Malik Lucas also contributed to the rushing game with 125 yards on the ground.
Bradley was the best receiver in 4A Region 8 this week as St. Stanislaus beat the Yellowjackets.
The Rock-a-Chaws' Allen and Bradley have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Allen has thrown for 1,551 yards this season, while Bradley has 34 catches for 614 yards. The Hornets' James leads the league in rushing yards with 440.
St. Stanislaus moved up to 42 from 73 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Rock-a-Chaws climbed the ranks as a result of topping St. Martin 49-45.
