Nolan Brammer and Tyrone Glimer provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Silverado. The connection went for 80 yards, the longest such play in Mojave River this season.
Serrano extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Centennial, 14-0. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Diamondbacks.
Oak Hills's dynamic duo of Brammer and Glimer proved tough for the Hawks to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Brammer threw for 270 yards and two touchdowns and Glimer had 250 yards receiving. Gino Mastandrea helped Oak Hills' passing attack out by catching one ball for 20 yards.
Salvador Garcia was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 13 carries, he ran for 178 yards as Sultana topped Silverado. Andrew Robbins also contributed to the rushing game with 53 yards on the ground.
Felix Guzman made the biggest impact on defense this week as Oak Hills bested Rafael Ginorio's team. The 5-foot-11 senior pulled down one interception and recorded one fumble.
Hesperia's Austin Williams and Christopher Crummel have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Mojave River in both passing and receiving yards. Williams has thrown for 823 yards this season, while Crummel has 22 catches for 469 yards. Serrano's Michael Hawkins leads the league in rushing yards with 514.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Scorpions take on the Bulldogs. Hesperia is currently in fourth, while Oak Hills is in second.
The Sultans moved up to 400 from 452 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 30-24 win over Barstow helped Sultana improve its standing.
