The Yavneh Academy Bulldogs came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They slipped by Dallas Lutheran 52-51. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Yavneh Academy also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Yavneh Academy was led to victory by Darren Sacher and Joe Schwartz. Sacher dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Schwartz went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 3 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schwartz has scored all season.
Yavneh Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Dallas Lutheran, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.
