Meanwhile,, Hickory Hawks couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were given a punishing 6-47 loss at the hands of West Iredell. Hickory Hawks were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-34.
Southside Christian's lifted them to 1-0 while Hickory Hawks's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Southside Christian can add another positive mark to their record or if Hickory Hawks can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Southside Christian's step.
