The Westfall Mustangs will square off against the Zane Trace Pioneers at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Coming off a road loss, Westfall was happy to be home on Tuesday where their crowd gave them all the motivation they needed. They came out on top against Adena by a score of 3-1.
Westfall got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final set scores came out to 22-25, 30-28, 25-20, 25-21.
Jill Butcher had an outrageously good game as she had 30 digs, 17 kills, and nine aces. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Cook, who had 20 assists, 17 digs, 11 kills, two aces, and a solo block.
Meanwhile, Zane Trace waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins...and they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Redstreaks.
Zane Trace walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 25-20, 25-12, 25-21.
Westfall better keep an eye on Karlee Snavely. She was instrumental in Zane Trace's win, getting 13 kills, 13 digs, two solo blocks, and two aces. The team also got some help from Lydia Jarrell, who had 17 assists, eight digs, and two aces.
Zane Trace has now won six of their last seven games on the road. That gives them a 6-1 record this season. As for Westfall, their record is currently 3-5.
Westfall suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Zane Trace when the teams last played on September 30, 2025 last season.
