Paige Hayward put up the most strikeouts she's had since back in April of 2024 on Friday. As a matter of fact, she turned in her biggest game of the season, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Hayward's strong effort led White Pine over Laughlin and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
