Lifegate Christian is 0-3 against San Marcos Academy since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lifegate Christian Falcons will be staying on the road to face off against the San Marcos Academy Bears at 3:30 p.m. on December 15th. Lifegate Christian will be strutting in after a win while San Marcos Academy will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Lifegate Christian beat First Baptist Academy 54-49.
Meanwhile, San Marcos Academy was beaten by St. Stephen's Episcopal 71-37 on Monday. While losing is never fun, San Marcos Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1234th, while St. Stephen's Episcopal is ranked 255th).
Lifegate Christian pushed their record up to 4-2 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for San Marcos Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Lifegate Christian couldn't quite finish off San Marcos Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 and fell 48-45. Can Lifegate Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
