South Pasadena moved up to 632 from 671 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Rio Hondo. The Tigers climbed the ranks as a result of topping La Canada 35-8.
San Marino extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Temple City, 58-0. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Monrovia's dynamic duo of Deshawn Potts and Jacob Bueno proved tough for Blair to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Potts threw for 59 yards and two touchdowns and Bueno had 45 yards receiving. Mason Bryant helped Monrovia's passing attack out by catching one ball for 14 yards.
Andy Paynter was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 28 carries, he ran for 135 yards as the Spartans defeated the Vikings. Teammate Jadon Henry added to the ground attack by rushing for 117 yards.
Monrovia's Blake Heyworth and Bryant have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Rio Hondo in both passing and receiving yards. Heyworth has thrown for 1239 yards this season, while Bryant has 28 catches for 476 yards. Paynter from La Canada leads the league in rushing with 599 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Ryan Maddox's team takes on San Marino. The Wildcats' offense has scored 332 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Mike Hobbie's team has allowed only 59 on the year.

The Wildcats took down Gary Parks' team 84-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Potts ran for 51 yards in the win.
