The Tipton Cardinals will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Smithton Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Tipton will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
Tipton scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 82-54 win over Otterville at home. With Tipton ahead 42-21 at the half, the game was all but over already.
It was another big night for Jackson Bailey, who scored 24 points along with four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Moon, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Smithton came up short against Green Ridge last Thursday and fell 60-53. Smithton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Tipton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Smithton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
Everything came up roses for Tipton against Smithton in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 79-47 victory. Will Tipton repeat their success, or does Smithton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
