It was a good run, but the Elba Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They took a hard 69-54 fall against Brantley. If Elba hoped to take revenge for the 72-37 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Jayden Parks continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Brantley, scoring 18 points along with nine assists and seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that Parks posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Daylan Davis, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Elba's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Brantley, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with that win, which was their 20th straight at home.
Elba will take on Wicksburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brantley won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Houston County at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Houston County has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 28.
