MAIS AAA I District 2 recap Oct. 31, 2012
Jackson Prep extended the longest winning streak in MAIS AAA I District 2 this week by beating Parklane Academy, 36-0. The victory was the 11th in a row for the Patriots.
Jackson Prep led the league in scoring this week after putting up 36 points on the Pioneers. Ryan Buchanan threw for 138 yards and two touchdowns and ran for three yards in the win.
Ricky Black's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Hamel McGraw chipped in 106 yards. Charles McEuen helped Jackson Prep's passing attack out by catching two balls for 29 yards.
Rivers McGraw was the best wideout in the league this week as the Patriots bested Parklane Academy. McGraw racked up one reception for 30 yards.
Jackson Prep's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Patriots feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Buchanan has thrown for 1278 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while McGraw has 16 catches for 293 yards. McGraw leads the league in rushing with 1140 yards.
