The Grandview Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Center Yellowjackets, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Grandview breezed by the Yellowjackets on the road to the tune of 58-27. Given Grandview's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 479th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Grandview to victory were Sh'ryah Wright and Lariah Tucker. Wright scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Tucker scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Wright hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Smith, who scored ten points.
Grandview is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Center, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Grandview will head out on the road to challenge the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Center, they will be playing at home against the at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. KIPP Legacy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
