When it comes to explaining why Creekside lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tim Gaulden. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was Gaulden's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Ahmare Mckenzie was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Creekside and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Archer, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Creekside is on the road again on Friday and play against Sumter County at 2:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Sumter County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Archer won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Morrow at 3:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Morrow has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 253 points over their last four matchups.
