Montevideo hasn't had much luck against New London-Spicer recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Thunderhawks will host the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Montevideo will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
On Friday, Montevideo got the win against Redwood Valley by a conclusive 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Thunderhawks, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Brendan Koosmann looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Brody Dack was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Gannon Reidinger, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Meanwhile, New London-Spicer was able to grind out a solid victory over Watertown-Mayer on Monday, taking the game 8-3. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Royals: they've now won four in a row.
Andres Rojas made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rojas was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Kaden Toutges tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
Rojas wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Johnson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Rylan Shimek also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Montevideo's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for New London-Spicer, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
