The Dwyer Panthers stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Santaluces 82-40 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Dwyer has managed all season.
Among those leading the charge was Bobby Gilbert III, who scored 16 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tamari Reed, who scored 13 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Dwyer and bumps their season record up to 16-3. As for Santaluces, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dwyer won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Royal Palm Beach at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Royal Palm Beach will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 157th, while Dwyer is ranked 26th). As for Santaluces, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Palm Beach Gardens at 7:30 p.m.
