Aubrey had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Carthage Bulldogs on Friday as they made off with a 12-2 win. Considering the Chaparrals have won 16 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Mya Cherry made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
