Windsor is 6-0 against Centaurus since February of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Windsor Wizards will look to defend their home court against the Centaurus Warriors at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Windsor has five straight victories, Centaurus has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Windsor scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They breezed by Silver Creek at home to the tune of 78-37. Windsor has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 25 points or more this season.
Reyleigh Hess continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Jiricek, who scored 20 points along with two steals and two blocks.
Centaurus suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Mead, falling 58-18. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Centaurus in their matchups with Mead: they've now lost four in a row.
Centaurus' defeat came about despite a quality game from Ingrid Lorton, who scored 11 points along with two steals and two blocks.
Windsor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Centaurus, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's game: Windsor have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 5.1 threes per game. It's a different story for Centaurus, though, as they've been averaging only 1.6 threes per game. Given Windsor's sizeable advantage in that area, Centaurus will need to find a way to close that gap.
