Onalaska is 9-1 against Holmen since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Onalaska Hilltoppers will head out on the road to challenge the Holmen Vikings at 7:15 p.m. Onalaska is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road.
Last Tuesday, Onalaska beat La Crosse Central 63-54. The win was just what Onalaska needed coming off of a 98-66 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Holmen scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Sparta with points to spare, taking the game 82-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Onalaska is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Holmen, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-11.
Everything came up roses for Onalaska against Holmen in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 83-52 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Onalaska since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
