Animo South Los Angeles has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Foshay Wolverines at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Animo South Los Angeles has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, Animo South Los Angeles earned a 38-27 win over Stella High Charter Academy. The victory was just what Animo South Los Angeles needed coming off of a 85-36 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Foshay came up short against Larchmont Charter on Friday and fell 64-54.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Gabriel Wright, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Shomare' Gray, who scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Animo South Los Angeles' victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8. As for Foshay, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
Animo South Los Angeles was taken down by Foshay 85-36 in their previous meeting on Wednesday. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Gray, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
