The Payson Longhorns put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 55-32 margin over Florence. Considering Payson has won four games by more than 21 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Payson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lizzy White out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. White is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Chloe Hancock, who scored 11 points along with 5 steals.
Payson's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.67 points. As for Florence, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Payson will head out on the road to face off against Coolidge at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Florence, they will be playing at home against Miami at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Miami is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.5 points per game.
