Softball Recap: Rancho Alamitos Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

Rancho Alamitos won the last time they faced Saddleback and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Vaqueros put the hurt on the Roadrunners with a sharp 17-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Vaqueros, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Esperanza De Rosas was a standout: she got on base in three of her six plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Alejandra Corona, who got on base in three of her six plate appearances with four runs and one RBI.

Rancho Alamitos kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive matches.

Rancho Alamitos is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.1 runs over those games. As for Saddleback, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Rancho Alamitos wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Magnolia on the 30th. As for Saddleback, they have also already played their next matchup, a 22-7 defeat against Loma Linda Academy on the 22nd.
