The Hayden Lobos typically have all the answers at home, but on Tuesday the Superior Panthers proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lobos 33-30. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Superior has posted since December 19, 2023.
Superior's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Antonio Lopez, who scored 14 points along with two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lopez has scored at least a third of Superior's points. Adam Sandoval was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Superior's win bumped their record up to 5-19-1. As for Hayden, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.
Superior does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hayden will head out on the road to challenge the Centurions at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
